STAY AT HOGS

A Hotel on Manali's Left Bank

A left bank Manali hotel gives you valley views and quiet nights without giving up the town. HOGS Panorama is on Shuru Road in Prini, with 11 rooms, basement parking, Wi-Fi and our own cafe and bar, DO NTHNG – Himalayan Brew, open daily 10 AM to 10 PM. This page explains the two banks in plain words, so you can choose the side that suits your trip. Enquire when you are ready.

GETTING THERE

Getting from HOGS

By road from HOGS Panorama
Mall Roada short drive — message us for the best route
Old Manalia short drive — message us for the best route
Naggar Castlea short drive — message us for the best route
Jagatsukha short drive — message us for the best route

Winter snow and holiday traffic can add time; check road status.

From the town side, ask your driver for Shuru Road in Prini, near Mata Sharvari Temple, and share our Google Maps listing so the route is on screen. Self-drive guests will find basement parking waiting.

Evenings are the time to plan around. Traffic in the centre can slow everything down at dusk, so if you need to be back for dinner, set off from town a little earlier than you think. Walking between HOGS and town is not something we would plan on; a short taxi ride is the practical choice.

THE PLACE

The left bank
in a few lines.

The left bank road runs along the eastern side of the Beas, from Manali towards Naggar, passing through Aleo, Prini, Jagatsukh and Haripur.

It is generally quieter than the right-bank main highway side, which is where most of the through traffic and the busiest stretches sit. That difference is the whole appeal: the same mountains, with fewer horns. That is why many guests call it the quiet side of Manali, and why a hotel on left bank road Manali is a favourite for slower trips.

Further down the same road you reach Naggar, where Naggar Castle and the Roerich Art Gallery are found. Because the road continues in one direction, a day trip down it is easy to plan and just as easy to turn back from. If Naggar is on your list, a Naggar road hotel Manali visitors can return to in the evening keeps the day relaxed.

  4. 2:00 – Begin the drive back, stopping at Jagatsukh if you wish.
  5. 4:30 – A rest at HOGS with the valley in front of you.
  6. 7:00 – Dinner at DO NTHNG, with live music if there is a night on.

WHY PRINI

Why stay in quiet Prini
instead.

Prini is the left bank at its most convenient: close enough to town for an easy evening out, far enough that you can hear the river rather than the road, which is what a peaceful stay in Manali needs. The table below covers Manali left bank vs right bank, side by side, in simple terms.

For a hotel away from Mall Road, ask about parking whichever bank you choose, because it shapes your whole stay. Ours is in the basement.

QUESTIONS

Manali's left bank,
answered.

What is the left bank in Manali?

It is the eastern side of the Beas, where the road runs from Manali towards Naggar through places such as Aleo, Prini, Jagatsukh and Haripur. It is generally quieter than the right-bank highway side. HOGS Panorama is on Shuru Road in Prini, on this bank.

Is the left bank of Manali better to stay?

It is better if you want quiet nights, valley views and parking without Mall Road traffic. It is less convenient if you want to walk to shops and restaurants. HOGS sits on the left bank with town a short drive away, so many guests find the balance right.

How far is the left bank from Mall Road?

Prini is a short drive from Mall Road. We have not published an exact distance yet, because we only quote numbers we have measured on the map, and traffic changes the time. Message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what to expect on your day.

Can I visit Naggar from the left bank?

Yes, Naggar is down the same road, so it is a natural day trip from Prini. Naggar Castle and the Roerich Art Gallery are the usual stops. Start in the morning, check road status first, and come back to HOGS for an evening at DO NTHNG.

Is the left bank road open in winter?

The road is in regular use, but snow and weather can slow or close stretches, and conditions change by the day. We cannot promise a particular situation. Check road status before you travel and message us, and we will share what we know on the morning of your trip.
